‘Bears at the Pavilion’ on Brook Green, next to the tennis courts, has opened. Bears are serving their award winning ice-cream, high quality food sourced through local suppliers and Scotties Coffee, which is ethically sourced and locally roasted. Opening hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day. Social distancing will be observed and payment will be contactless. We look forward to seeing you there.

We started offering take-aways because we wanted both to maintain our business and provide a service to the community. We’ve owned ‘Pentolina’ since 2011 but never thought one day we might be running a take-away!
When you’re running a restaurant you know your capacity. But with a take-away you get orders all the time and can’t say, ‘sorry, we’re full.’
To start with we were getting orders by text, email and on the phone and it was pretty challenging. We put together our ‘click and collect’ website in a couple of days. Everyday we learn something new and try to improve.
We’re trying to stay as close as possible to the menu that people know but with a few variations. We want to maintain our high standards but we’ve also lowered our prices.
And since we re-opened our customers have been fantastic! We are so grateful for their support, patience and understanding.

‘At first we were really shocked by having to close down for the ‘lockdown.’
But we knew from the very start that we wanted to keep busy and do something to help the community.
So, we’ve been supporting a great NHS charity making meals for the staff at local hospitals ‘’#mealsforthenhs.’ We’ve been cooking for Chelsea & Westminster, UCLH and the Hammersmith. ‘
We’ve now re-opened the restaurant as a takeaway because it’s so important to remind people that we’re still here.
At the moment our menu is fairly limited but we’re planning on offering more over the coming weeks.
Already, we’ve started selling steak baguette outside on a Saturday.
